Me Chrissie and Tilly arrived on the Friday morning at this lovely clean and tidy venue and were very fortunate to park right between Ron &
Eunice and Ian & Linda. At last warm sunshine saw the shorts getting a dusting off. We had arranged a meal at the Dormouse pub just up the road to celebrate Chrissies’s 60th Birthday.
On Saturday we walked into the city centre and attempt to do the Treasure Trail that Linda had set for us. It was good fun and it brought to our attention things that we would not have seen had we just gone to town without the quiz. Chrissie even bought me my dinner.
That evening we all walked the few hundred yards to the pub and sat down to a drink whilst waiting for our table to be ready. We were soon assembled at our table and the smart young waiter came and took our orders. They took a little longer than usual in coming but once they did it was worth the wait. It was lovely and it was enjoyed by all, After the meal we staggered back to camp where there was tea or coffee on offer in the rally Arms. The raffle was drawn where I won a beautiful bird house. I also won the first prize of the quiz. A £5 rally camping voucher. Mind you, we were the only entrants. Besides the Voucher, Chrissie received a Birthday card signed by all the Ralliers on the
rally plus a lovely Birthday cake kindly baked by Linda. It was very nice.
We really enjoyed this rally and campsite with its lovely skies bats out at night and with the good companionships to enjoy it. We are looking forward to next year when it is booked again.
