Flamborough Rally May 12th – 16th 2010

We arrived at Flamborough in good time after an early start from home. We were welcomed in by the marshals Ian & Linda with a lovely cup of tea. Once we got settled in we wandered into Flamborough village to see what was here. It is quite a nice place. We tasted the local hospitality in the village tea room before returning back to the campsite and prepared ourselves for the evening meal.

On Saturday we went into Bridlington and spent most of the day there. Anne frequented the charity shops which she does like then we strolled along the harbour which was very busy with people working and day trippers. We returned back on site by tea time and after a pleasant social in the Rally Arms we retired to bed.

On Sunday we took Ian & Linda to the RSPB visitor centre at Bempton. Linda was quite amazed by the amount of birds that were there. Anne stayed in the camper as the walk was a little too far for her. In the evening we settled in to the rally arms for supper put on by the marshals. Sunday morning after having one of Ian’s big breakfasts we went to a car boot sale just outside the village. Ian did a shuttle run with the club bus to the boot sale so every member was able to go. It was only small and we were soon ready to go back to the campsite in time for Ian coming in with the second trip of car boot enthusiasts. We got back on site and after a quick snack we prepared our camper and set off for home. Another great weekend we have had thanks to Ian Linda and the other members who were present.
